Chiropractor with a background in rehab and movement-based care.
Dr. Hali Deters is a chiropractor and certified strength and conditioning specialist who blends hands-on care with advanced rehabilitation to help patients recover from injury, restore movement, and build long-term resilience. At Sigma Q (ΣQ®) Neurotherapy Performance Center, she integrates chiropractic care, functional movement strategies, and innovative technology to deliver personalized treatment plans that empower patients to take charge of their health and performance.
Dr. Deters earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West in 2019. Before pursuing her chiropractic career, she attended the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she received her Bachelor of Applied Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. During her time at UNCW, she served as captain and executive board member of the university’s rugby program, experiences that shaped her leadership skills and gave her firsthand knowledge of athletic performance, injury management, and recovery.
In addition to her formal education, Dr. Deters has pursued advanced certifications that strengthen her clinical expertise and broaden the tools she brings to patient care. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), equipping her with a deep understanding of strength programming, athlete development, and performance-based rehabilitation. She is also a Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP) through the Council on Extremity Adjusting, providing specialized knowledge in diagnosing and treating conditions related to the joints of the arms, legs, hands, and feet.
Her additional certifications include:
Together, these credentials reflect Dr. Deters’ commitment to delivering evidence-based care that blends chiropractic principles with modern performance science.
Dr. Deters’ expertise centers on manual therapy, functional movement, and rehabilitation programming. She emphasizes treating the root cause of pain rather than focusing solely on symptoms, helping patients achieve long-term results. Her approach combines precise chiropractic adjustments with tailored movement strategies and strength training to reduce pain, restore efficiency, and prevent future injuries.
As a current professional rugby player, Dr. Deters brings a unique perspective to her practice. She understands the physical and mental demands of high-level athletics, as well as the challenges of overcoming injury and returning to competition. This athlete’s mindset shapes her work with patients, whether they are competitive athletes, weekend warriors, or individuals simply seeking to move and feel better in their daily lives. By drawing from her own experiences, she provides care that is not only clinical but also empathetic, motivating, and practical.
Beyond the clinic, Dr. Deters is passionate about helping patients connect with the activities that make them feel most alive. She believes movement is medicine and that recovery is not just about resolving pain but about restoring confidence and function. Her mission is to ensure every patient feels supported through their recovery journey and empowered to maintain long-term health.
At Sigma Q (ΣQ®) Neurotherapy Performance Center, Dr. Deters combines her education, certifications, and athletic experience to deliver comprehensive care. By integrating advanced Sigma Q neurotherapy technology with chiropractic adjustments, movement assessments, and strength programming, she creates treatment plans tailored to each individual’s goals.
